Health Education and Literacy

At the PWAFC, we believe knowledge is power. We aim to provide classes and opportunities for our patients to increase their health literacy about chronic conditions and about health lifestyle changes.

Currently, we are offering two diabetes classes that are a part of our diabetes management program and have an upcoming six-week nutrition course. The PWAFC is also working with Dr. Corbin Eissler on developing a class about lifestyle changes for patients with hypertension or high blood pressure.

We are always seeking new opportunities to provide more resources and services for our patients. If you have a science-based health class that you would like to offer, please give us the details using our contact form, and we will be in touch.
