We Need Your Support

The Greater Prince William Area (GPWA) includes Prince William County, Manassas City, and Manassas Park. More than 17% of GPWA's 500,000 population lack health insurance and 7% are living in poverty. The most recent studies from the CDC show that almost half of all adults in the U.S. have a chronic illness, and one in four adults has two or more chronic health conditions. Recent surveys show that chronic diseases are a growing epidemic accounting for seven of the top-ten causes of death.

The PWAFC treats more than 2,600 patients with more than 20,000 encounters annually. Of the population we treat, 90% have at least one chronic disease. All of our patients lack health insurance, live in the GPWA, and are at or below 125% of the federal poverty level. For example, a family of three that we see will make less than $25,000 annually. Through the donations and support our clinic receives, we are able to care for a population that would otherwise have no access at all to affordable healthcare.

$25
Helps pay for transportation to give patients access to off-site referrals and to use public transportation getting to and from the clinic. Transportation access is considered one of the most critical social determinants of health nationwide.

$50
Helps us buy medically needed supplies for our patients, such as new parts for a CPAP machine, diabetic test strips, and wheelchairs, among many other items.

$100
Helps with what our clinic needs most -- from covering the purchase of new diagnostic equipment or repairing our current items to making sure our roof is water-tight.

2017 Special Recognition

We appreciate all of our many generous donors and institutional funders who believe in our mission and contribute to our cause. Our supporters are the reason we are able to continue to provide care for our patients. Without our supporters, we would be unable to do all of the vital work that we do. Below, the PWAFC would like to recognize the top institutional funders and donors in 2017.
